Data collected from our Helpline is gathered, analysed & housed in Connect, our factory oversight technology platform exclusively available to Members of our Program.
Connected Buyers are able to view the number of calls made by workers in their connected factories, understand the topics of these calls, view the number of calls escalated, and export Helpline data for internal analysis.
The Worker Helpline was developed for factory workers employed by the factories under ESCP Program. It is now available to workers in external businesses and sectors including the construction industry.
ESCP hopes the transparency of our Helpline data will promote positive impact, help factory management & connected buyers identify repeat issues and drive positive change.

Since its launch in 2010, ESCP's Worker Helpline has been supporting workers employed at Chinese & Vietnamese factories participating in the Ethical Supply Chain Program. As of June 2021, the Helpline has assisted over 19,000 factory workers by providing free, confidential advice and information.
From April 2021, we expanded the Helpline service to cover Vietnam to further facilitate the communication between workers and factory management.
The Helpline offers free, confidential counselling and guidance to help workers manage work-related issues in their working and personal lives. It also acts a confidential grievance mechanism, enabling workers to raise any concerns regarding their safety or well-being with us for further investigation.
Factories value the Helpline as it provides professional counselling and support service for their workforce. The helpline also enables factories to understand and identify potential hazards or workplace concerns they may have been unaware of.
2020 marked the tenth anniversary of the Ethical Supply Chain Program (ESCP) Worker Helpline. Over the last decade, our Worker Helpline has provided free, confidential counselling and advice to 17,776 workers – supporting them across a broad range of personal and work-related issues.
As new technologies bring new opportunities to support workers, ESPC’s Worker Helpline will continue to play a key role as we expand our reach to support more workers across a wider range of countries and sectors.
