The Ethical Toy Program (IETP) has been a long-standing, trusted partner to Mattel, providing a comprehensive social compliance certification program that helps identify and remediate potential risks in our supply chain and ensure that our suppliers meet the standards set forth in our Responsible Supply Chain Commitment. Through our IETP membership, Mattel is able to support our ESG strategy which aims to promote ethical sourcing practices and worker health and safety throughout our supply chain.
Spin Master has grown together with ICTI Ethical Toy Program since its inception in 2004. IETP (formerly ICTI-Care) preceded all the other me-too programs and well established the gold standard of responsible manufacturing sourcing in Asia. Many like-program tactics singularly pressure punitive measures upon factories, often at the expense of the workers meant to be protected, IETP comprehensive approach continuously develops, evolves and connects responsible manufacturing and stakeholder accountability throughout the entire toy value chain – brands, licensors, customers, factories, NGOs, and tens of thousands of workers.
Thanks to ICTI Ethical Toy Program we were able to develop further Responsible Manufacturing by connecting us to the platform of Asian factories and push forward many of the standards that our consumers are requesting. On top of that, we are proud to be part of the network of companies that believe in the program, sharing knowledge and collaborating through different webinars. Last but not least, we confirm the importance of this Certification for our company, but as well for our suppliers, and most importantly, our consumers.
