The IETP Audit Checklist was last updated in late 2018 with risk criticality gradings added to all non-compliances, making it easier for factories and buyers to understand the severity of issues.
An updated version of the ICTI Ethical Toy Program (IETP) Audit Checklist will become effective from 1st September 2019. We regularly review and update our Audit Checklist to ensure it remains responsive to the evolving needs of the toy industry, reflects regulatory requirements, and is effective in supporting factories to meet social compliance standards. The IETP Audit Checklist was last updated in late 2018 with risk criticality gradings added to all non-compliances, making it easier for factories and buyers to understand the severity of issues.Since then, the IETP team has gathered feedback during factory training sessions, as well as seminars for brands, retailers and other stakeholders, to guide future iterations of the Audit Checklist. These sessions included 8 training sessions with toy associations in China and 6 supplier conferences for our buyers members, as well as dedicated sessions for large factory groups. The latest version of IETP Audit Checklist (Version 2.1) incorporates feedback received during these sessions, as well as and observations made during Progress Visits during the last 6 months. In Version 2.1, modifications have been made to a total of 33 checkpoints. These changes have been made to add clarity or emphasis to the checkpoint itself, or to clarify instructions in the guidance text for individual checkpoints.A summary of the modifications made is available here, please familiarize yourself with these changes before Audit Checklist V2.1 replaces V2.0 on 1st September 2019.
