Introduction to Virtual Assessment

IETP will continue to monitor the situation and arrange an on-site IAA as soon as regulatory circumstances allowed.

What is a virtual assessment? It is an interim internal process the ICTI Ethical Toy Program (IETP) has developed for its supplier certification program, starting Q4 2021. The Virtual Assessment aims to understand the current situation of a supplier who is unable to receive an on-site initial annual audit (IAA) as there is travel restriction or lock-down caused by COVID19.The virtual assessment is a combination of an online self-declaration completed by the supplier, and a virtual site visit to the premises joined remotely by the IETP team. This internal process is for our reference and will not replace an IAA. IETP will continue to monitor the situation and arrange an on-site IAA as soon as regulatory circumstances allowed. Who is eligible?- Suppliers who are currently certified in the IETP certification program, and- Its certification will expire shortly, and- The local audit firm has verified the area is under restriction and unable to conduct an on-site audit What does it mean to the supplier’s certification?Once these internal processes have been completed by the supplier and reviewed by the IETP team, we will grant a 6-month extension to its certification, supplier’s electronic certification and data on the Connect Platform will show the updated expiry date. If you have further inquiries about the Virtual Assessment, please email info@ethicaltoyprogram.org or call +852-21112462 for more information.
