To allow for 2025 Chinese New Year celebrations, the Ethical Supply Chain Program will instruct our accredited firms to not conduct audits or Progress Visits between January 13th through to February 9th, 2025 (2 weeks before and after Chinese New Year).

The Environmental Assessment can be implemented globally and offers a new way for businesses in any industry to establish and advance their Environmental Strategy. Through clear, consistent, and consolidated information, businesses of any size can benchmark their supply chain partners and identify risks and opportunities. This assessment will enable companies to better understand the environmental performance of their global supply chain and to report on it. Businesses can leverage this information to develop action plans for their sustainability strategy and join forces with the rest of the world in combatting climate change.

This year, marks the 6th year since the launch of the Family-Friendly Spaces (FFS) program. This program is a social initiative that has been tailor-made for the manufacturing industry with the goal of providing child care services to left-behind children and the children of migrant workers, as well as to strengthen the parent-child bond for migrant workers during the summer holidays.

The IETP Social Impact Assessment is designed to assess a manufacturing site, vendor, agent or licensee’s social impact by measuring the effectiveness of their management systems in place for labor standards in their businesses and in their supply chains. Social impact is the effect an organization has on people and communities as a result of its actions, activities, projects, programs or policies.

The survey offers factories a unique opportunity to give anonymous feedback. More than 45% of all factories in the ICTI Ethical Toy Program, from eight countries, participated in this years’ survey.

The CRBPs are based on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and are aligned with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and support the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
