In 1994, in order to raise the international community's awareness of the importance of family and building closer and harmonious relationships between family members, the United Nations proclaimed the 15th May as the "International Day of Families”. This year, the promotional campaign for this day in China was organized by the National Health Commission of the PRC, held by the China Population Welfare Foundation and UNICEF China. With the theme “Creating Family-Friendly Environments to Give Every Child the Best Start in Life”, the event was successfully held in Shenzhen on the 15th May.

IETP 自 2010 年起为中国国内的玩具工人开通了一条免费及保密的咨询热线。时至今日，热线已为大概一万四千个工人提供了咨询服务。 热线不仅保障工人的基本福利和权益，更致力让工人持续保持良好心态，积极面对工作和生活，同时为工厂促进一个更和谐的工作环境。

IETP 近年来透过 进度调研 (Progress Visit, PV) 与工厂管理层直接沟通时了解到，目前企业所面临的挑战和持续改善需求中，员工流动性大、招工困难和员工关系管理是企业普遍比较关注的话题。

In 2020, COVID has been incredibly damaging. We’ve all seen too many announcements of job losses, business and store closures, and everybody’s work and personal lives have been impacted. But difficult times often bring out the very best in us. With the new ways of working, IETP has demonstrated its resilience and its value to the toy industry globally.

In 2019, we opened 30 Family-Friendly Spaces accommodating over 1,100 children and 1,240 workers.

CSR Asia Summit 2019 - Sustainability: From Rhetoric to Results (18-19 Sept | Bangkok, Thailand)

In the summer of 2019, 30 factories are participating in our Family-Friendly Spaces program. These factories have transformed spaces in the premises into fantastic childcare facilities for the children of their workers. The factories hire specialist teachers and supervisors to take care of the children during the workday and they provide opportunities for the children to learn and play. We understand buyers are constantly seeking up-to-date information for reporting and decision making, therefore our Connect Platform provides instant updates and important alerts on suppliers' compliance status.These new platform enhancements aim to provide users with a more effective and user-friendly interface to sort information needed, understand suppliers’ status and recognize progress in the IETP program at a glance.

The 2-day Hybrid event will welcome over 5,000 participants listening to over 100 global speakers discussing the future of sustainability.
