In 2020, COVID has been incredibly damaging. We’ve all seen too many announcements of job losses, business and store closures, and everybody’s work and personal lives have been impacted. But difficult times often bring out the very best in us. With the new ways of working, IETP has demonstrated its resilience and its value to the toy industry globally.

In 2019, we opened 30 Family-Friendly Spaces accommodating over 1,100 children and 1,240 workers.

CSR Asia Summit 2019 - Sustainability: From Rhetoric to Results (18-19 Sept | Bangkok, Thailand)

In the summer of 2019, 30 factories are participating in our Family-Friendly Spaces program. These factories have transformed spaces in the premises into fantastic childcare facilities for the children of their workers. The factories hire specialist teachers and supervisors to take care of the children during the workday and they provide opportunities for the children to learn and play. In November 2018, the ICTI Ethical Toy Program (IETP) is introducing important changes. These changes include a new IETP Audit Checklist, updated Factory Certification, and the introduction of Progress Visits.

In order to bring users a better experience when using our responsible sourcing platform, Connect, we are launching an enhanced interface and suite of functions on Monday the 15th of March 2021.IETP is here to support Buyer Members' supply chain sustainability journey, our program helps mitigate labor risks and ensure products are made in safe, ethical, and respectful workplaces. We understand buyers are constantly seeking up-to-date information for reporting and decision making, therefore our Connect Platform provides instant updates and important alerts on suppliers' compliance status.These new platform enhancements aim to provide users with a more effective and user-friendly interface to sort information needed, understand suppliers’ status and recognize progress in the IETP program at a glance.

The 2-day Hybrid event will welcome over 5,000 participants listening to over 100 global speakers discussing the future of sustainability.

Our 2019 Family-Friendly Spaces program officially launches on the 8th of July.

Hear from representatives from the Mexican Manufacturing Association, the Mexican Toy Industry Association and Ernst & Young discuss the opportunities and challenges of manufacturing or reshoring production to Mexico for the Toy industry.
